Account & Data Deletion
Last updated 23 September 2026
This page explains how to have your Verso account and the data associated with it deleted. You do not need an account, and you do not need to sign in, to read this page or to make a request.
App: Verso Field · Developer: Razite Private Limited · Request address: support@razite.com
How to request deletion
- Email support@razite.com from the email address registered to the account, with the subject "Account deletion request". Writing from the registered address is how we confirm the request is really yours.
- Tell us your username, and the workspace name if you know it. You do not need to give a reason.
- We reply within one business day to confirm we have the request. If we cannot match the email to an account we will say so rather than act on a guess.
- We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of confirming the request. We email you when it is done.
Request deletion here
Or email support@razite.com directly — it reaches the same place. The form on our support page does too.
What is deleted
- Your account: username, email address, password hash and profile details.
- Your memberships of workspaces and projects, and your assigned permissions.
- Any submissions you collected that have not been shared with a workspace — for example drafts still only on your device.
- Session tokens, so every device is signed out.
- Any workspace you are the only owner of, and everything inside it — its projects, forms, submissions and uploaded files, including work collected by other people. A workspace with no owner is one nobody can administer, so it does not outlive its last one. If that is not what you want, make somebody else an owner before you delete your account, and the workspace stays.
What is retained, and why
One thing does not disappear with your account, and it is important you know it before you ask. It assumes the workspace itself survives — see above for what happens when you are its only owner.
| Data | What happens | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Survey responses you submitted to a workspace | Retained by that workspace. Your name is removed from them, so they remain as anonymous records. | The responses belong to the organisation that ran the survey, not to you. Deleting them would destroy their research data — often data about other people, gathered with their consent. |
| Photos, audio and files attached to those responses | Retained with the responses they belong to. | They are part of the same record. |
| Server logs containing your IP address | Normally aged out within 90 days, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident or meet a legal obligation. | Security and fraud investigation. |
| Backups | Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days, then is overwritten. Backups are isolated and used only for disaster recovery. | Backups are written whole and cannot be edited without destroying their integrity. |
| Records we must keep by law | Retained only for the period required by applicable accounting, tax or other law, then deleted. | Legal obligation. |
If you want survey data deleted too, ask the organisation whose workspace you collected it for — its administrator can delete submissions directly. We cannot delete an organisation's data on the request of one of its members, because doing so would let any single collector erase a team's work.
Deleting a whole workspace
If you are the owner of a workspace and want it and all of its data removed, say so in your email. We verify ownership before acting, and deleting a workspace removes its projects, forms, submissions and uploaded files permanently — for every member, not just you. This cannot be undone.
Uninstalling the app
Removing the app deletes everything stored on that device, including any submissions that have not yet synced. It does not delete your account or anything already uploaded — for that, use the process above.
